Ingredients:
- 1 lb. smoked sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 3 carrots in strips
- 3 celery stalks, chunks
- 1/2 head cabbage, chunks
- 2 tbsp. rice, uncooked
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can whole tomatoes (28 oz.)
- 3 c. water
Instructions:
In a large saucepan, brown onion in oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
